Psalms, Hymns & Spiritual Songs Volume III -
"Favor"
![]()
When he writes, hits are produced. When he writes, thousands listen. When he writes, lives are touched and impacted. David’s latest hit “Be a Worship” from his Psalms, Hymns & Spiritual Songs Volume III “Favor” is presently sweeping the church world at large. With more than 10,000 CDs sold, the “Favor” of the Lord is unequivocally on his life.
Although David Frazier is no longer a Brooklynite residentially speaking, Brooklyn and the memorable experiences and relationships he established there with Pastors, choirs, groups and other musicians for many years, will never be forgotten.
PR – David when did you discover your talent for playing?
ups and other musicians for many years, will never be forgotten.
PR – David when did you discover your talent for playing?
DF – I really didn’t discover it. I actually took music lessons. I learned how to play the drums, the piano and the organ.
PR – How long have you been in the Gospel music industry?DF – About 23 years.
PR – “I Need You To Survive” is a hit. In my opinion this song is a church classic. A choir’s anthem. It’s the kind of song that will never be outdated, but will be sung for years to come. What inspired you to write this song David? Songs are written generally from personal experiences, etc.
DF – Well, the song came to me while in church one Sunday as the preacher was preaching. He said “touch your neighbor and tell them, I need you”. I also thought about 1 Corinthians 12 where it talks about how the body is one but has many members and each member need one another in order to function properly. So by the time service was over the song had been completed and I called it “I Need You To Survive”. Bishop Hezekiah Walker (who was then Pastor Walker), called me to inform me that he was getting ready to record and wanted to know if I had a song. I shared another song with him and told him about “I Need You To Survive” as a second song. At first, he didn’t like the song, but he allowed me to teach it to the choir and they sang it during one of the services and IT WAS OVER!!!!!!!! The Holy Ghost took over and moved mightily in the service to the point he could not say no to the song.
PR – Wow!!!!! Pastor Walker could not say no after what he saw.
DF – The song has become so popular that next year 2010, it’s going to be added to the Baptist Hymnal which is revised every few years. It is already a part of the Methodist Hymnal and is sung in the Methodist churches.
PR – What an honor David. That’s amazing. You can see the results of writing this song. It has had a major impact in the world of Gospel music and now within various denominations. Congratulations!PR – What other choirs or groups have you worked with other than the Love Fellowship Choir?
DF – I have worked with Bishop TD Jakes and the Potter’s House Choir, Bishop Paul Morton, The Winans, Commissioned, Bebe & Cece Winans, Yolanda Adams, Karen Clark Sheard, Jonathan Nelson, James Hall & Worship & Praise of Brooklyn, Donald Molloy, Ricky Dillard & The Colorado Mass Choir.
PR – I said it before and it bears repeating WOW!! I had no idea that you had such a repertoire and had collaborated and shared your musical skills and talents with so many renown artists and choirs within the industry.. You mentioned as we were talking earlier that you’ve written quite a number of hits for Bishop Walker & LFC namely, “I’ll Fly Away”, “Second Chance”, “Power Belongs to God” and others. Again, these songs have been such a blessing to so many over the years.
David Frazier’s latest project is entitled “Favor” part of the Psalms, Hymns & Spirituals Songs Series - Volume III.

The Pat Reeves Report Proudly Welcomes to the New Artist Spotlight
J. E. Jones
In 1996 J.E. Jones had it all. In less than a decade he’d risen from the ranks of local hip-hop producers in the neighborhoods surrounding his home in the Bronx, NY to become an established songwriter, producer and celebrated Vice President at Def Jam records---the pioneering rap/hip-hop label owned by Russell Simmons.
The story of J.E.’s success was the definition of the American dream: While still in his teens trying to make it in the fast-paced world of urban music, he’d taken a friend’s advice to accept an unpaid internship at a relatively new label called Uptown records. There he learned the business from Uptown’s founder and owner, the legendary André Harrell, and from another young executive known at the time as Sean “Puffy” Combs.
Naturally gifted at discovering and nurturing talent, J.E. quickly moved up the executive ladder at Uptown to become Vice President of A&R. Along the way he worked with the top hip-hop and R&B superstars, including Mary J. Blige, Heavy D and Montell Jordan. He also made his mark in the broader entertainment world serving as Executive Producer of two of the biggest movie soundtracks of that era, Rush Hour and The Nutty Professor.
J.E. Jones quite simply had it all. At least it looked that way.
“I was lonely, really lonely,” J.E. confesses. “I had everything---cars, a beautiful house---but every day I would wake up with such a huge void. I would go home at night and cry.”
Desperate to fill that emptiness, J.E. accepted his aunt’s invitation to go to church with her. He felt the Lord had been dealing with his heart for some time, but he had no idea how much his life was about to change.
“At the end of the service, the preacher said to me, ‘Young man, God has a calling on your life,’” J.E. recalls. “From that day on I was there. I didn’t miss a service. If I had to travel for work, I made sure they flew me back in time for church. This is what I was missing. Christ just filled that void.”
His personal encounter with the Lord became a fully developed passion for ministry. While gradually transitioning away from his work at Def Jam, J.E. became a minister, training for the role of elder in his church organization, and eventually accepting the call to pastor. He now serves as the senior pastor of the Atlanta-based ministry Rejoice In The Word Church.
“When I got saved I became serious about ministry,” says J.E. “I kept writing and producing and serving as a music industry consultant, but ministry became my focus.”
Over time J.E. began to understand that God had a purpose for his prior experiences. He explains: “God saved me and said, ‘I want you to use the same tool that you used in the world. This time use it for Me.’”
Following that direction, J.E. founded Ultimate Entertainment, a record label that combines his love of music with his passion for the Gospel. It is the goal of the label to reach an unchurched generation with the revelation of a true relationship with the Lord.
“I believe the people we are called to reach are being introduced to God differently than the last generation,” he says. “This generation doesn’t know anything about church politics. They just want to get to know Jesus.”
The debut release from Ultimate Entertainment was the top-selling project Bishop Eddie Long & Friends The Kingdom Vol. 1. In addition to marking the label’s first success, the project gave J.E. the opportunity to use his skills as a songwriter/producer to work with some of the biggest names in gospel, including Mary Mary, Tye Tribbett, Dorinda Clark Cole and Kierra “Kiki” Sheard.
Now, he expresses his vision as a solo artist with the release of Fire. The 11-song collection is inspired by J.E.’s personal struggles and is a message of hope to a lost generation. Featuring the songs “It’s Your Life,” “No More Fighting In Me” and the first single “The Turnaround,” Fire combines the flavor of hip-hop and R&B with the passion and message of today’s gospel music.
Lyrically and musically the project is a reflection of J.E.’s life, as well as an extension of his ministry. It’s important that we reach everyone we can,” J.E. says. “I think you can touch so many more people outside of the pulpit through music. Music travels so far. It’s our job to move beyond the podium and try to reach not just the saved but the unsaved. Visit J.E. Jones and purchase his new CD at: www.jejones.net.

The Editor's Notes: Dr. Todd M. Hall is one of the most sought-after pulpiteers in the Body of Christ at large and is by no means a stranger to homiletical and biblical rhetoric. He has made an indelible mark on the world wide web via Youtube with more than 50 sermonic clips with views totaling in the tens of thousands. Dr. Hall has traveled extensively with what he knows is a God-given/God-breathed message, spiritually tailored to promote, ignite, generate and propagate praise for the One who's charge he has to keep and glorify.
In addition, Dr. Hall is a lover of education and a businessman. He has acquired several theological degrees and currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Regentsffor Christian Bible Institute. He is also the Founder and CEO of TMH Ministries, Inc. and Risky Productions, LLC.
It gives The Pat Reeves Report great pleasure to accentuate the life and ministry of one of God's many ambassadors who has and will continue to impact not just the lives of, but the worlds of individuals near and far for The Kingdom.
BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Todd M. Hall is the eldest of nine siblings, born in Brooklyn, New York to a legacy of preachers of the Gospel, including his father, mother and grandparents. Overcoming the lure of the streets to accept his call to ministry has brought this man of God to a number of crossroads. Choosing ministry over fame and fortune has brought him and those who receive his message of purpose in Christ, greater riches.
Dr. Hall is the Founder and Overseer of Shabach Christian Church in Orlando, Florida. He has over 22 years of practical experience as a community leader and youth advocate, which he has used to establish Dove Inner City Ministries outreach to focus on the needs, pressures and concerns of youth.
Dr. Hall teaches on real life experiences and biblical principles in a common language understood by youth to persuade them to give their life to Christ. Not only does Dr. Hall reach the youth, but he bridges the gap between the young and the old with one of his most powerful sermons to-date based on his book entitled "Put Your Mouth On It!".
Dr. Hall is internationally recognized as the “Praiseologist™” for his wisdom on the application of Praise and Worship and his remarkable skill to locate Praise throughout the entire Bible. One of Dr. Hall’s most notable strong suits, is his ability to combine biblical truths and his understanding that the purpose of mans creation is to Praise, and Worship was created to be an intimate relationship between God and man. Dr. Hall is extremely gifted in the closing delivery of his messages with the melodious sound of his voice and the use of musicians, to bring the anointing of old back into the worship experience.
His excitement and intensity in delivering the Word of the Lord has helped to revive ministries, restore pastors, rebuild churches and renew the hearts and minds of Believers; as well as, Non-Believers to a new level of faith and commitment to God.
It is hard to believe when watching Dr. Hall jump, praise and dance to the Glory of God; that several years ago, he suffered a debilitating stroke which left him paralyzed, with partial vision and slurred speech. Through the miraculous healing power of God, Dr. Todd Hall is now using his testimony to impart wisdom and truth to this end time generation.
Once you have experienced the explosive ministry of Dr. Todd Hall, curses will be broken, reversed and void in your life. You will listen to Dr. Hall with expectation, as he equips your spirit with an encouraging and empowering message to engage in a battle that is already won.
For the battle is not yours, it is the Lord’s! – 2 Chronicles 20:15 (KJV)

IF YOU MISSED IT!!!!The Pat Reeves Report Internet Magazine
Proudly PresentsAn N Touch
&
Xclusive Interview
With One of Gospel Music's
Premiere Male Artists
EARNEST PUGH
God Bless you Elder Pugh. The Pat Reeves Report is elated to have you as our Featured Artist for the Months of August and September. You have been such a blessing to the Gospel Music industry as of late and we could no longer forbear. We want to hear all about what the Lord has and is currently doing for Earnest Pugh one of God’s Anointed new male vocalist taking the industry by storm.
The first question I would like to propose to you is very significant and is I’m sure on the minds of so many who have seen and heard you on Youtube, TBN, in concerts at churches, etc. and that is, Where do you shop for your wardrobe? LOLLLLLLLLL Just kidding. I will say this, Earnest you are, in my opinion, one of the best dressed male Gospel artists in the industry and you represent very well when you minister across this country. You take us to church when it is time not only spiritually, but with your attire as well. THANK YOU!!!!
PR: Earnest every song ever written, inclusive of hymns have a story behind it. What is the story behind “Rain On Us”?
EP: Pat it just so happens that I was gathering material for the new CD around the time of the on-set of the economic downturn so I knew that in order to be impactful I would need to relate the issues that we, as the Body of Christ, were facing worldwide. God said “to tell the people that while their circumstances have changed I (the Lord) have not changed". I am still Jehovah Jireh and if they would simply ask for the rain I will do exceedingly, abundantly, above all they can ask or think-amid their famine or dry season. With that instruction I began searching my repetoire for “rain” songs and came across Daniel Moore’s “Rain on Us.” I picked up the phone and asked him for permission to record it.
PR: Well thank God for Daniel Moore then. It's a wonderful song and I'm sure those of us who have been blessed by it will agree.PR: What was the deciding factor or what brought you to the point of saying “go for it” or “do it now” as it relates to the Earnest Pugh Live: Rain on Us project, with the economic climate seemingly so unfavorable at this time?
EP: I guess I knew I had a sense of urgency concerning ministry as early as 8 years of age. My great grandmother often called me to the foot of her bed to sing (worship) while she was battling sickness. I remember her saying that I possessed the type of anointing that David had when he was called to refresh Saul. I had no clue who Saul or David was but I knew I felt the weight and gravity of ministry and from that time I always felt responsible for setting the atmosphere in worship wherever my feet took me.
PR: I'm so glad you went for it and responded to the urgency that you felt within to "go forth" now as opposed to later. You are RIGHT ON TIME!. I ask all of the artists I interview this question because it intrigues me. Can you remember how old you were when your little hands touched the mic and you sang your first song?EP: I was about 12 when I did my first public performance in church.
PR: What was the first song you learned and sang as a child?
EP: I sang (along with my oldest sister and first cousin) “I Really Love the Lord.”PR: I remember that song! The youth choir I was part of must have sung it 1000 times. LOL
PR: Is your family musically inclined as far as being musicians or singers are concerned?
EP: My family was very musically inclined and so I was nurtured by a host of singers, musicians, directors, and even pastors.
PR: That's great! You had a solid foundation from the inception and you are the end result of that. To God be the Glory! Earnest, not only are you an artist, but you are a businessman as well. Tell us about EMP Music Group which is your very own record label.EP: Well, Pat, EPM Music Group was started after a conversation with my mother. I was sharing with her my frustration of trying to acquire a record deal. She got tired of me complaining and said “well, if no one will sign you, sign your self!” It made no sense at the time but God kept that before me and in the right season 2005 when I recorded “A Worshipper’s Perspective” I saw the wisdom of that counsel. From there I as able to record “Rain On Us” as a joint venture with Kerry Douglas’ Blacksmoke Music Worldwide label. EPM Music Group is also an avenue by which I can release other ministry gifts to the Body of Christ. Upcoming artist Keith Williams (minister of music at Ebenezer Baptist Church of Atlanta, GA) will be my next artist.
PR: I like your mom! LOL "Sign yourself". LOVE IT!!!!PR: Earnest, name some of the artists you’ve worked with in the studio or ministered with on stage since the inception of your career?
EP: Pat, I have be privileged to work with artists such as: Yolanda Adams (currently on tour with her); Richard Smallwood (my mentor); Vanessa Bell Armstrong (on my current recording); John P. Kee (on the VIP recording); Lonnie Hunter (producer); Michael Bereal (producer); Tye Tribbett and Brent Jones to name a few. God has given me people for my life who have been great examples to me in this industry. Two people who have been very instrumental in my life and career are Kerry Douglas and Brian Spears. These two men took my ministry global and I will never forget all that they did to get me where I am.
PR: Absolutely WONDERFUL!!! The word "Novice" is definitely not a part of your vocabulary. What a blessing to have worked with so many renown Gospel artists and producers.
PR: Earnest you are the recipient of the 2006 En Sound Male Vocalist of the Year and the 2006 Independent Music Award Winner for Gospel Album of the Year. What was your reaction when you heard that you had been chosen to receive these two awards?
EP: Ensound was kind to me. I actually went to the ceremony in support of a fellow artist Patrick Lundy and ended up on the ballot myself. That was a very humbling experience for me because, Pat, I really do approach this platform (that God has given me in this season) with fear and trembling. I Know that I am not worthy of it. There are so many mistakes that I made and I am just really blessed to be used by God in any capacity. So I appreciate Delroy and Ensound awards and will soon join them in Houston, TX for this year’s award ceremony as a presenter.PR: This sounds like it's going to be quite an experience. It's one of those cases Earnest where you was at the right place at the right time. What is it you would like for your listeners to walk away with when they purchase and listen to an Earnest Pugh song?
EP: I want people to walk away from my concerts having had a visitation from god that provided them comfort, clarity, and direction in life. There are enough entertainers out there so I want them to get something different from my life concerts. I see myself as one conveying a message from God to His people. I have to ensure that I am accurate and in-tune with the Father.PR: Your talents have extended into that of songwriting. How many songs did you personally author on the Earnest Pugh Live CD?
EP: As stated earlier, I did not write “Rain On Us” that song was written by Pastor Daniel Moore, Sr. from Flint, Michican. I did a great deal of arranging on this project. I was sort of in a slump with my writing-having recently lost my mother and grandmother 6 months apart. To me, that was a very challenging season and so God used my friends and associates to present material that beared witness with my spirit for the direction of the CD.
PR: Once again, thank you Elder Earnest Pugh for allotting The Pat Reeves Report Internet Magazine this time, at this moment in your life and our prayers and sympathy is extended to you and your family due to the dual loss of your beloved mother and grandmother. May you continue to prosper and be in good health even as your soul prospers.
